I cannot lie, whenever I pick up a guitar there is a little part of me wishing I was Waylon Jennings. This is cute, given that I am baldish, stocky, acoustical, and, um, not a seminal member of the Outlaw Movement nor friends with Willie nor really any sort of a “Hoss,” but sometimes even a pigeon can dream. Anyways, I find the video above to be revelatory…you forget how Young Waylon was an All-That Cat. Just watch the feline stride when he leaves Johnny’s Side and makes his way to that guitar…
And a great comic moment with the bass player near the end.
