Came in from filming in the woods the other day and my wife was percolating lentil soup. Man, was it good. Included homegrown tomatoes and homegrown pork sausage. I am not exactly a logger out there (for one thing, loggers don’t get successive takes if the tree falls the wrong way) but nothing like coming in from the cold to warm homemade soup.
My wife says the soup is called “Hearty Lentil-Sausage Soup,” and it can be found on page 212 of the More-with-Less Cookbook by Doris Janzen Longacre.
