The Long Beds Return to the Stoughton Opera House

Thursday, October 22, 2026, bestselling humorist and author Michael Perry returns to The Stoughton Opera House. His band the Long Beds will be joining him for a night of music punctuated by storytelling and laughter. This is the first night of a 3-day. 3-city tour. Additional dates are available here: https://sneezingcow.com/events/.

Perry’s song lyrics parallel his prose–sometimes poetic, sometimes rough-hewn, and driven by the natural rhythm of his blue-collar background. “I was raised by farmers and preachers and tough country women, and I suppose my songs reflect that,” says Perry. “Then again, certain wisdoms are available only from whistlers, frauds, and sinners, so I try to slide them a line or two.” Expect a set list of solid favorites and a handful of new ones. And if you haven’t seen Perry’s band, you’re in for a treat–it’s an all-pro crew that can hold it down or rip it up.

Perry has co-written or collaborated with musicians including Phil Cook, Justin Vernon, Sean Carey, Mary Cutrufello, and Grammy-nominated jazz pianist Geoffrey Keezer.
