Michael Perry returns to the Historic Temple Theatre on Saturday April 26, 2025. Known for his hilarious and heartfelt live shows (“storytelling meets standup”), he is a New York Times bestselling author, screenwriter, playwright, and radio show host from New Auburn, Wisconsin. Among Perry’s twenty-plus books are the bestselling memoirs Population: 485, Truck: A Love Story, and Coop, as well as his novel The Jesus Cow, and the novella Forty Acres Deep.

Raised on a small Midwestern dairy farm, Perry put himself through nursing school while working on a ranch in Wyoming, then detoured into writing. He lives with his wife and two daughters in rural Wisconsin, where he serves on the local volunteer fire and rescue service.
