Michael Perry Makes A Cameo at West Cap’s 60th Celebration at The Mabel Tainter
Travel back in time through West Cap’s past six decades with live music by The Home-Grown Tomatoes (HGT) Band and decade-themed special guest hosts from the Menomonie Theater Guild. The evening culminates with a short, but special, musical performance by New York Times bestselling author, humorist, and singer/songwriter – Michael Perry!

The HGT Band – HOME GROWN TOMATOES, a true variety band and a local favorite! They are a 5-piece ensemble of former band directors and music teachers who love to entertain and engage with our audience leveraging our talents and experience to create a memorable and fun-filled event.
The Menomonie Theater Guild – The MTG has offered a rich variety of Main Stage productions; dramas, comedies, musicals, and straight plays which have been lighting up the beautiful Mabel Tainter stage for over 60 years!
Michael Perry’s bestselling memoirs include Population: 485, Truck: A Love Story, Coop, Visiting Tom, and Montaigne in Barn Boots, along with his newest work, Improbable Mentors. Raised on a small Midwestern dairy farm, Perry put himself through nursing school while working on a ranch in Wyoming, then detoured into writing. He lives with his wife and two daughters in rural Wisconsin, where he still makes an occasional call with the local volunteer fire and rescue service.
