Forty Acres Deep – An Evening with Michael Perry
Forty Acres Deep with Michael Perry is an evening of empowerment through the art of storytelling. Author and humorist Michael Perry will share excerpts and stories from behind the scenes of his vivid novella, Forty Acres Deep–the brief, unrelenting tale of one farmer’s attempt to make sense of a world he no longer recognizes. Seamed with grim humor and earthy revelations, it is an unforgiving story…and yet leaves room for hope. And although the subject matter is serious and will be treated respectfully, Perry (raised on a Wisconsin dairy farm) is known for his to put audiences at their ease with his down-to-earth, humorous style.
Dr. Michael Smith, PsyD from Emplify Health by Gundersen, will lead a brief discussion immediately following the reading.
Prior to the performance, which begins at 7PM, guests are invited to a reception in the Kader Gallery in the theater starting at 6PM.
