SUMMARY:Here We Are Again with Michael Perry
DESCRIPTION:On Friday\, November 5\, 2021\, humorist and author Michael Perry returns to the Heyde Center in Chippewa Falls to perform his most popular hilarious and heartfelt stories. But Perry has often said he’s a farm kid who accidentally made a career out of going off on tangents\, so expect fresh stories and unexpected laughs as well. “The guinea pig story\, the beer tent story\, folks still enjoy hearing those\, and I never tire of telling them\,” says Perry. “It’s like we’re sharing a favorite song. But it’s also fun to be mid-show\, trigger some memory or recollection\, and just chase after it. See what we wander into together. That’s where some of the biggest laughs or most powerful moments are born.” \nFriday\, November 5\, 2021 at 7:30 PM \nTickets can be purchased here: Adults $18\, Seniors $17\, Youth $9 \n

SUMMARY:Michael Perry Live: Sneezing Cows and Love Songs
DESCRIPTION:Long Road to YouGolden in the MorningAshes	\n	\n	\n\n	\nHowdy Folks\, \nOn Thursday\, October 21\, Mike will present a two-part show consisting of the side-splitting humorous stories that have brought him a second career as a speaker and humorist. After intermission\, he’ll bring out his band the The Long Beds and fill the joint with the songs that have led to his third career. \nTickets for this show are $25\, available here. \nMichael Perry is known for his hilarious and heartfelt live performances\, and this evening will be no different. A New York Times bestselling author\, humorist and musician\, Perry’s writing\, stories\, and music are drawn from his working class background (raised by Wisconsin farmers\, loggers and truckers)\, an accidental book and songwriting career\, and life on the road in a used van full of musicians. \nThe musical portion of the evening will include songs from the Long Beds’ newest release\, “Long Road to You\,” an EP featuring five freshly-recorded songs and a spoken word piece from the Long Beds headlining stint on 2019’s Wisconsin Vinyl Collective tour. \nPerry has co-written or collaborated with musicians including Phil Cook\, Justin Vernon\, Sean Carey\, Mary Cutrufello\, and Grammy-nominated jazz pianist Geoffrey Keezer\, but not until he met producer (and Long Beds musical director) Evan Middlesworth did he learn to play a “cheater” B minor. \nTickets for this show are $25\, available here. \nSee y’down the road\,\nSneezing Cow Crew

SUMMARY:MOSES Organic Farming Conference
DESCRIPTION:Howdy Folks: \nThis is a 6-day (Monday through Saturday) paid virtual conference\, which includes Mike speaking on Tuesday evening. While registration is more than the usual ticket price to hear Mike speak\, we wanted to help spread the word about the conference itself\, because A) we admire what they’re doing and how\, and B) we know some among Mike’s readership will find the overall event fundamentally useful and a source of insight and encouragement. \nMike’s event description: “Drawing on his prolific writing career (14 books and counting…his most recent is Peaceful Persistence)\, his background as a Midwestern farm kid (and a Wyoming “sorta-cowboy”)\, and his heartfelt and hilarious one-man shows\, humorist and New York Times bestselling author Michael Perry will offer a balance of reflection\, stories\, and offhand tangents that will provide a welcome respite from the headlines\, the forecast\, and perhaps even the comments in your social media feed—all while addressing with respect the compound challenges today’s farmers face.”
