Fancy Scarves and Mortarboards

Put on a robe and mortarboard yesterday for the first time in over 20 years.  Tassel kept getting hooked on my big ear.  (That makes it sound like I have only one big ear…) Also I got to wear a colored scarf indicating my rank and alma mater (UW-Eau Claire, School of Nursing, Class of 1987 — still have my license, how are you feeling today?).  Occasion was a college graduation.  I was honored to be asked to say a few words, but most of all I was proud to be on hand to congratulate one person in particular – my sister.  Nice job.  And neither of us tripped on our respective robes (gowns!) while navigating the onstage stairs.
