Rhyme Scheme

Catching up on work in the office above the garage, sun warming the brown Wisconsin landscape just enough to free up a sweet whiff of the dirt and decay (betwixt those comes life itself).  Listening to Confederate Railroad because I’ve always liked that fellow’s voice and plus the songs are just your perfect get-along singalong.  Right now, “Jesus and Mama” with a line so wonderful I quoted it in Population 485:

life’s a picture that you paint
with blues and grays, cans and cain’ts…

Yessir.  Cain’ts.  When you just up and rhyme yer accent, you are establishing a specific artistic integrity.
