Saturday, September 10, I’ll be whoopin’ it up with the Big Top crew for one more Old Last Night. Special guests, and in addition to some humorous monologues, I’m going to do a song or two with the Blue Canvas Orchestra. Time and ticket info here.

Sunday, September 11, I’ll be in Glenwood, Minnesota, to speak at the 9/11 Remembrance Ceremony. I have told the organizers my remarks will be a blend of seriousness appropriate to the occasion blended with some humor. 7 p.m. Free and open to the public, details here.

Um, these kinda cheaters, not the motel-sneakin’ kind.

So today I’m writing, go to the house on an errand, forget I have the cheaters balanced atop my ball cap, flip the cap off, cheaters fly across the room, hit the floor, lens breaks.

Really. You buy’em by the bucket, and cheap.

This evening it will be my privilege to introduce Mountain Heart and Fitzmaurice Band from the stage beneath the canvas. Late word is that I will do a brief monologue before each set. Then I’ll just kick back and enjoy the music like everyone else! Terrific bands.
