Tent Show Radio Tonight – Temptations

If you’re within range of one of these stations tonight (Saturday, March 5th) we hope you’ll join Mike as he hosts another edition of Tent Show Radio from Big Top Chautauqua.

The musical guests will be the Temptations, and in this episode’s monologue – delivered from the backstage dressing room with the one lonely little lightbulb burnin’ – Mike talks about the power of music as a time machine.

Note About Food Pantry Benefit Sunday

Benefit Sunday. The pantry welcomes non-perishable and canned goods, but donations of cash or check are especially welcome as this allows them to stock items that are low or provide items that have limited shelf life. Pantry info here (if you wish to designate the New Auburn pantry just include a note to that effect, but we’re happy to help our Bloomer neighbors as well).

Above all, thank you.

Pilgrim, Revisited

Been listening to The Pilgrim again lately. Ol’ Marty was good to me a long while back. Searchin’ around on him here in 2011, I rediscovered this. I remember writing it in my little room upstairs there on Main Street in New Auburn, Wisconsin.

Thank You Iowa Folks

Was able to meet and talk with young (chronologically, and if not that, at heart) writers in Iowa the past few days. Thank you to everyone. Times like that remind me why a guy should keep trying. Drove home yesterday across the big flat patch that finally drops off into the bluffs and valleys near Winona, Minnesota. Then north, to home, family, and chickens.

Chickens are on a tear of eating their own eggs. Time to deploy all the usual remedies…wooden eggs, golf balls, oyster shell, recalibration of nesting boxes…

Either that, or security cams in the coop.
