Whenever my girls and I discuss my time on the road, we always turn the discussion to those in the military, gone for far more extended and exponentially riskier periods of time than a guy telling stories in regional arts centers. So it’s always deeply humbling to receive a photo like the one below (especially right in the heart of the holidays).
