08 – Chicken Tractor

The chicken tractor is designed to contain the chickens, yes, but also to protect them from hawks. We live at the edge of a ridge – hawks and turkey vultures surf the currents and pass right over the chickens. The rubber flaps allow either end to have some clearance and yet keep the chickens from sneaking under the gap. I talk smart, but we have a lot to learn.
